All quiet on the post-Wakefield frontArgonet domain safe
Orpheus Internet, the ISP headed by Argonet support guru Paul Vigay, says it has secured the use of the Argonet.co.uk domain. It's understood that its owner, Freedom2, plans to switch off the Argonet ISP next month.
Paul said earlier today: "I have managed to negotiate with Freedom2 to use the argonet.co.uk domain, so that people can keep their Argonet email addresses and websites, and we can do a forwarding service to their new Orpheus account."
Vantage fan and Qercus writer Richard Ashbery reports that dealer APDL allegedly attempted to "persuade [Cerilica boss] Simon Birtwistle to release the Vantage source code so that further development and bug fixes might be possible."
Despite Cerilica stating that they would be interested in seeing a third party stepping forward to assist in sales and support, Richard revealed: "My understanding was that Simon refused."
A9home chipset mystery solved?
The exact processor used in the A9home is still unknown, other than being a 400Mhz Samsung part. Could it therefore be this particular number? Even if it isn't, trust Samsung to make embedded microcontrollers look sexy.
