Picture exclusive - This is the first screenshot of Jeffrey Lee's port of RISC OS 5 for the ARM Cortex-A8-powered Beagleboard reaching the familiar ROS desktop and running several built-in applications. The port was produced using source code made available by the RISC OS Open initiative.

Jeffrey told Drobe he will submit his latest changes to the operating system's blueprints to RISC OS Open and publish instructions on how Beagleboard owners can build their own RISC OS 5 ROM images to test drive.
He said: "Later on today once I've worked out the last couple of issues I'll check all my fixes into the ROOL CVS and post a quick guide on the forums so other people can try it out."
