I think your comment was a broad generalisation. There's no denying the availability of BBC basic interpreters for other platforms, but you can't seriously suggest that developing even medium sized Basic applications makes sense on another platform - apart from the deficiencies of Basic, you'll need RISC OS interfaces at some point which just won't exist.

Given the therefore limited use, especially in the context of this article and subsequent thread, I think Gulli's comment is reasonable.
