mavhc> Startup speed and memory usage are two advantages of BBC BASIC (the interpreter really is a pint-sized wonder), but otherwise you've just described all the advantages of any interpreted language. And if you use a more modern interpreted language like (/me hops on hobby-horse) Python, you get a properly intelligent interpreter, and language features which really make it easy to use.
