I agree that one of the A9 strengths is it's portability, due to it's size. But I think this is also a major weakness. The inclusion of a slimline optical device would, in my opinion, be of great benefit to most of it's users.

This brings to back me the thought of the Toshbia Portege slimline laptop. Nice laptop, shame about all the attachments.
