ROL have communicate that they are still working on Select 4 and that it isn't ready yet. I can understand people getting impatient because in the past ROL haven't been great communicators, but at the last RISC OS show people were able to see that development was continuing and ROL have improved the number and quality of their communication to users lately.
I am sure that ROL will do the right thing and make this release available to those people who have contributed to the Select Scheme and made the development possible.
This is not the first and certainly won't be the last software project to miss a deadline! Rather than bash ROL, a polite enquiry to the right people might be more appropriate.
Martin Avison named as new Organizer developer RISC OS software developer Martin Avison was today unveiled as the coder working on new versions of life management package Organizer. Originally written by Chris Morison, the software was handed over to Nigel Willmott to manage and find Organizer a new developer. Announcing a new website for the package, Nigel said: "It's been a steep learning curve both for me as a software publisher, and for Martin in finding his way around approaching 30,000 lines of code, but we hope an initial new version will be ready for release very soon." 1 comment, latest by jess on 23/1/09 8:56AM.
