rjek: So with suitable memory management, the existing firefox 2, might be able to be made to work on a Kinetic? (Perhaps if you get bored one evening :) )

It would have been best if the reasons were stated with the release. However, once you proved there was trivial advantage, there would have been little point making an update just for A9 compatibility, since you provided a path to use that version, and it appears the next version is a significant step.
