rjek: I suspect that by the time you get to "complex", current arm designs somewhat underpowered. If so, in that situation RO would be out in the cold anyway.

Doesn't RISC OS have some support for virtual memory anyway (as in mapping, not swap files obviously)?

But isn't it the blocking I/O that is the real nasty for RISC OS?
