Andrew Weston: I'm aware of it, but I can't be in Guildford next week (and I doubt ROLF will be significantly further on in a week).

Rob and Peter: What it comes down to is that I want to build a minimal system, and the only two other components that come close to the size of X, in terms of amount of source, at least, are the Linux kernel itself and gcc which are essential to the running and building of the system.

I know memory is cheap, etc., but I'm doing what I want to do.
