ninja: Most RISC OS advocates prefer languages with small footprints, quick runtime speed as well as ease of use. Python and Perl simply don't fit any of the three. The only one that's been ported that I know of is Lua, and that's not really designed for large projects, either. (Although it's certainly a lot easier to manage large projects with it than BBC Basic.)
