mripley How so a no brainer? The Omega WITHOUT X-Scale is significantly more expensive compared to an Iyonix of a similar spec (this is ignoring the lower performance of the Omega).

Go and check the figures I posted here; [link]

An Iyonix WITH Aemulor Pro is at least ukp270 cheaper than an Omega of similar spec. How much money are you going to need for 32bit software upgrades bearing in mind that the Iyonix ships with a full suite of internet software including Oregano2?

Don't forget also that RO4 has some compatibility issues for older software and these are not going to go away because you are running it on an Omega!

As for RiscPC hardware being an issue it has been an issue for a long long time. It was the fastest thing we had but long past its sell by date, now at least we have Iyonix.

  • What should be NetSurf's priority?
Development work on the open source NetSurf web browser project will once again be funded by Google as part of the internet giant's Summer of Code scheme. NetSurf has been accepted into this year's GSoC, which pays students to develop open source software during their holiday, under the guidance of a mentor. This year it's hoped budding engineers, who must first successfully apply for a place to work on the browser, will work on various improvements. What do you think the NetSurf team should be focusing development on?
