I am not qualified to discuss hardware issues, but I must say I remain sceptical regarding the claims made by MD about their FPGA based approach. If the advantages are real, why have mainstream hardware manufacturers, with their very large development budgets, not taken this route?
Caution: please warn me if you are going to say that only MD has the necessary expertise - I'll have to tie myself to my chair to avoid falling off as I erupt unto fits of uncontrollable laughter.
