I think on a decent Athlon 1800+ you can expect it runs as fast as a RPC with StrongArm

I use VA-RPC first on a P3 733Mhz with 832Mb and it runs ok. (CPU-speed reported it as a StrongArm at 156 Mhz ) I have it now on a AMD3000+ and I'm very happy with it :)
