The comment about the Epsons is interesting. I have had CX5200 and now a CX6500, as well as a Photo 2100 A3+. Even using higher resolution and large sheets for photographs I don't find ink a problem. In fact I purchased three genuine cartridges for the CX6500 this morning for around the equivalent of £4.50 ea. These are pigment based archival quality inks.

As they say YMMV!
