Colin dgs has got it right.

If the market for RO4+ for the older Acorn and ARM7500FE computers was so large, why then did ROL have to launch Select to raise funds?

Ignoring that for a moment tell me what sort of developments could these older machines (or emulators Omega or Windows style) benefit from, that would advance the RO4+ branch?

HAL? 32bit compatibility? UDMA enabled ADFS? PCI graphics card support? DVDFS?
