Hi Annaroi,

the advantage of the SRAM based devices is that they can be reprogrammed while the system is running. So with the Omega you will be able to load a fast single-precision FPA into the FPGAs for games and when you get bored and decide to do some serious work wich requires a double-precision FPA, you just quit the game, load the other FPA into the FPGAs and get on with your work. The FPGA images don't take up much space (a few hundred kilobytes each), so you can easily get away with a 1MB flash ROM, wich is a small price to pay for this great flexibility. And then you also have a place to store additional driver software and modules.
