As to xScale, that is an future *option* for Omega, whereas Iyonix users have it *today*. There is also the little matter of the xScale being 32bit only and RISC OS 4 being strictly 26 bit - so what sort of performance hit will "ArmTwister" make in resolving that (if and when it finally arrives).

I suggest Martyn's point stands, when you change a motherboard you get not only a new CPU, but also faster I/O devices, faster memory and so on - the sort of things the FPGA's in Omega will do nothing about.....
