JWCR: I would hope not (obviously!) It'll probably only happen if lots and lots of emulators are sold; from the virus point of view it will probably make no more difference than if the same amount of native hardware machines were produced. Or so I hope.

OTOH if emulators mean there are enough machines running RO around for virus writers to start bothering, then the same would be true for writers of decent software, with any luck.
