Drobe flavoured air on sale

RISC OS branded air superior to normal air

Parody Towards the end of last month RISC OS dealers CTA Direct issued an announcement on comp.sys.acorn.announce, a moderated newsgroup for RISC OS announcements, focusing on some PCs they were selling in old Acorn Phoebe cases (not tenuous at all, clearly) and other bits and pieces like monitors. That's fair enough though as it was shown that monitors and UPS devices plug into RISC OS computers so it's all good plus you'll be giving a RISC OS dealer cash so they can keep on retailing RISC OS goods.

So without further ado, drobe.co.uk is proud to launch drobe.co.uk branded air. We've slapped the RISC OS cog logo on it, so it's RISC OS related. Enjoy.

You're at your RISC OS computer. You're using a unique and powerful desktop environment. You've got a high quality printer, flatscreen monitor, optical mouse and an IKEA mousemat - but you're missing one vital thing. Air! All RISC OS users need air to breathe whilst at their computers so why not respire drobe.co.uk branded air.

As well as being extremely affordable and as pure as a Scottish highland morning breeze, all our branded air is packaged into designer non-shatter high grade glass containers each fitted with a British Standards certified cap to keep the air fresh until you need it most.

Thinking of using normal, common air? Stop there. Did you know that by buying drobe.co.uk undefiled atmosphere, you can directly support drobe.co.uk and its cynical staff and ensure future content. There's no hassle involved in drobe.co.uk air and we can confidently match whatever you're paying for normal air - pound for pound or less.

It goes without saying really that if you're buying for your RISC OS machine, normal air just won't cut it and may not be compatible. However, you can be rest assured that drobe.co.uk air is 100% compatible with your RISC OS computer and surrounding environment and our trained staff will be able to help you with any operation questions - not something normal air will be able to grant you.

Email our sales team now to order. Everyone needs air in their life. Make it drobe.co.uk air.

Available in 'Banana with Olive' flavour or 'New-A5000-Freshly-Opened' flavour.

The windows drivers are buggy because after opening them, the drobe.co.uk air's effectiveness is immediately reduced by the normal air from outside.

The question is, is it for sale now or does it need a new version of RISC OS? Worse still, is there a NDA agreement preventing Drobe from making a public release? -- Michael Stubbs, Leeds

My only other question is if their licence is legit or if they're using the pretifier version of lid 4.03?

I do think that the two Phoebe cases shown side by side in the little picture in CTA's advert look like a pair of portable loos.
