'Lucky' user wins STD stuff, Iyonix By Chris Williams. Published: 9th Dec 2004, 12:20:28 | Permalink | PrintableNot going to ebay it shock | | Happy: James, from Wakefield 2003 | We just might have found the luckiest RISC OS user of the year. Perhaps. Less than a week after winning free stuff from STD, James Scholes was stunned when he learned yesterday that he'd won a free Iyonix from Castle.
After bagging a DigiFlash interface in STD's Christmas raffle earlier this month, James, 21, was shocked to receive an email from Castle telling him he'd won the Iyonix, complete with 512M RAM and a 120G hard disc. James says he entered the free prize draw, hosted on the Iyonix website, at the end of October and reckons he was due some good news.
Although he says he won't be eBay'ing the new machine, he might sell off his RiscPC as he mostly uses RISC OS for music composition, email and chatting on IRC. Fingers crossed for that 32bit MIDI work, then.
