Can you tell what it is yet?

The organisers of Wakefield 2005 have confirmed that there will be a prize draw at this year's show, although details are sketchy. Advantage Six will be donating the "grand prize", which could be anything from their product range, but are otherwise remaining tight lipped. Other goodies, such as money off vouchers, could also be won.

Wakefield supremo Chris Hughes quipped: "Last year, the grand prize was an A6+ which was announced and available for the first time at the show. This year - who knows?"

In other news, a Renault Clio is up for grabs at the show - the Wakefield Hospice, which enjoys cash donations from the show's charity stand proceeds, is giving away the car in a raffle outside the event.

Update at 22:03 8/5/2005
Matt Edgar of Ad6 told us later today: "We really are leaving [the grand prize] down to the winner. They get to choose from our range. Sorry if this seems vague, but there really isn't any mystery here."

Well I hope someone actually claimed the various prizes, as the PA system had all the clarity of a train station announcement, and it was difficult enough to tell they were reading out the winning numbers never mind what they were.

Especially as the prizes were worthwhile this year. The only time we won anything, we got the first prize of a large black doorstop. The second prize was two Omegas :D
