Publisher R-Comp released another version of Messenger Pro yesterday as part of their rolling updates scheme for version 3 users. The latest edition, 3.27, introduces an updated address book and spell checker.
Previous versions of Messenger Pro 3 implemented a structured way of organising email, allowing users to create sub-groups within parent-groups which are then displayed as a 'tree'. Messenger Pro user David Ruck commented, "I've been waiting for this for years, and it's as good as I ever imagined. It completely removes the pratical restriction on the number of folders you can create". This functionality has now been extended to the address book as of yesterday's release, or as R-Comp put it, "you can now have sub-sections in your address book, so that you can group people together in your address bookm and see a 'tree view'". See the screenshot on the right for an example of this.
The message spell checker also now accepts apostrophes in words, URLs are highlighted in the message editor, the software can handle badly formed emails more gracefully than before, and there's the usual round of bug fixing too.
Messenger Pro recently gained its own message editor as part of the roll out of updates. Development of the RISC OS client was taken over by Colin Granville after its original author Mark Sawle decided to concentrate on a Windows and Linux port.

Will Messenger Pro 3 put the subject in subject lines in emails when some websites have the email and subject in them? |

If it hasn't arrived by tomorrow that's what I'll do. |

My was sent on Friday but BTinternet had put it into the spam bin, pure luck that I checked it.
In defence of BT their spam detector is usually excellent. I used to check the spam bin regularly but gave up after a few weeks when it became clear to me that it was 100% spam in there. |

I regularly check my Spam Bin (same ISP), but with all the junk (around 80-100 a day) I might have accidentally deleted it (if it was in there).
I'll get on to R-Comp later. |
