A mailing list for designers of the RiscCAD persuasion is now open for business. Founded by Kris Adcock, the online chatter group hopes to foster discussion on "all things related to RiscCAD". To sign up, see the spam protected email addresses here.
Incidentally, the mailing list is hosted on a private server, whereas traditionally, RISC OS related lists have been provided by the somewhat less than reliable SmartGroups - at least, according to some RISC OS users.
Version 10 of RiscCAD is currently in development and in the hands of beta testers. This future release is set to include bezier curves, outline fonts and other updates. The 2D graphic design package bounced back to life in January this year.

Could anyone sending a request put their email address in the body of the text, unless it is in your sig, then that's fine. |

David is putting a lot of effort into improving RiscCAD and making it even more time and user effcient. Well done D.
I've been using RiscCAD for about 7 years and it's still a great app, and I'm finding its recent resurrection very satisfactory.
With the improvements (currently in beta), the app now sits better in the RO desktop, and offers better exchange with !Draw etc. and desktop fonts.
Having been reassured, I can now invest in ArtWorks2, an A9 Home, and/or an Iyonix; which will hopefully all be at the SE Show.
Amazing how changes to one's central professional software reaffirn belief and trust in the OS.
Now all I'd like is a simple 3D modelling app, that , or an updated TopModel2 that runs on RO4, and interfaces with RiscCAD.
Any takers?
ps. where's the sunshine gone?

You may already know this but on the xample website it is stated that;
"At the moment en new release of TopModel is being prepaired. It will offer a new and improved user interface and will be bundled with many tools. Furthermore the price will be reduced drasticly. Watch this space... "
Maybe worth emailing them with what you'd like to see in the updated version.

That's amusing, because Xample recently denied working on a TopModel update. |

That web page lists software from a number of providers. It doesn't indicate that XAT themselves are working on it. It's prolly just out of date. |

Does anyone have a 2nd copy of 3D software like DaVinci or ArchiTech? I think Liquid Silicon have full priced copies, but no demo version and before I spend £££s, I'd at least like to see how compatible they are with !RiscCAD and !Draw. |
