Version 2.11 of online chat client Grapevine is being prepared after a recent update left some users less than impressed. Although a number of punters say they are happy with the software, publisher R-Comp says it is working to resolve issues in version 2.10 that others have come across.
More details and user impressions soon...This article has been linked to, or is available in the following formats:

No problems for me on my A9home! |

I did have problems which suddenly appeared on a particular day and indeed so did some other users, who reported them on Usenet groups...
However RComp did try and resolve the problem, sending me different copies to try and using a trace function to reolve the problem. The version Im now using seems to be ok. Version 2.10 was fine on my Iyonix before and its always been stable. Its an application I cant afford not to have and love it. |

Just wanted to add that we have now tracked down the login crash that was affecting some Iyonix users (as well as a number of other problems), so if any Drobe reader is having problems with GV2, please email us at the usual rcomp address, and I'll send you the latest version. We're hoping to make a full release in time for Wakefield, but the sooner you let us know that you have had problems, the sooner we can confirm that the update fixes your problem! |
