Hmmm, Rangers ground. Well you can be absolutely guaranteed that any RiscOS curious Celtic fans won't attend. Seemingly normal people behave in the most odd manner when it comes to Rangers and Celtic. The reasons are NOT football which is why the Newcastle ground isn't a problem for tynesiders. |

I have to agree with mripley. I would advise against holding the roadshow at either of the big football grounds in Glasgow in case supporters of the opposition refuse to attend. Far better to find a good neutral venue.
I missed last year's roadshow, but if one is held in the north west this year I would hope to be there. If football grounds are the preferred option, I understand Bolton Wanderers have excellent conference facilities. And as I'm not a Bolton supporter I can't be accused of bias!
From my personal point of view, St Helens Rugby League ground would be best, as it's only two miles from my house, but I have to think of others and suggest Bolton as a good venue. |

Is the roadshow not coming to the Midlands this year? This would be ironic, since the 2005 roadshow was supposed to be a replacement for the cancelled Midlands show! |

This year hopefully there will be a Midlands event on Sat 25th Nov at the Featherstone & Hilton Conference Centre. The ARM club are looking at doing this and the newly formed MUG users will hopefully be helping. We may here more at our next MUG event on 15th July. |

When you are talking about people going ot ibox, the ranfgers/celtic rivalry should not be considered. It is not as bad as you assume.
The main problem is that Ibrox is near a dodgy area and you may have more problems with security on a dark night.
Perhaps something like Strathhclyde Uni (next to one of the main train stations) or a suite in the millenium hoel would be better.
or even Glasgow Uni which is next to hillhead underground (only 5 mins from the city centre)
Glasgow also has a motorway going right through the city centre so you can get to either in 10 mins.
I will go to the glasgow event if in te country.

Granted there are very many people who
have family and friends on both sides
but, if you're a stranger asking for
directions then god knows which idiot
you ask! However, a neutral ground
is no problem whatsoever. The problem
with most of the football grounds is
that they all tend to be next to a
dodgy area(!) and a pain to get to in
anything but a car. The suggestion of
Glasgow uni is far better and very
easy to get to.....and nice pubs

Glad to see ROL are continuing to support the current userbase with these roadshows - they really fill the gaps left by a lack of dealerships and user-group expos. So at least they're getting some things right when it comes to marketing...

Oh dear. It's a shame the idiots that try to spoil the football in Glasgow are also overshadowing this event. There are a lot of suitable venues in Glasgow. I suppose it's bad luck that ROL took this one. What makes it worse is that after being saddened by being neglected by ROL before, I won't be able to attend this year's event because I'll be out of the country. One day I'll see an Iyonix or RISC OS Select.
