| Improved graphics and more for Ancestor+ 3 |
|
A new version of family history package Ancestor+ is now available, and features direct GEDCOM import and various other enhancements. The new features include improved graphics for charts, a restructured database to make the application more robust, individuals can be removed from a chart, and the font used in charts can now be chosen by the user.
As a commercial RISC OS genealogy application, Ancestor+ is billed as an easy to use package designed for computer novices. It can export family databases as cross-referenced HTML files, and can hold records for up to 20,000 people. The software was originally developed by Graham Crow.
Publisher Dave Holden of APDL said: "There is a small charge for the upgrade to version 3 of Ancestor+. Prices start at just £16. The full price for the complete program, including printed manual, remains unchanged at only £59 including UK carriage."
APDL will be closed until December 27 for the Christmas holiday, and the apdl.co.uk website has had a mild facelift.
