A round-up of users' mini-websites on drobe.co.uk
A while ago drobe.co.uk began offering free web space to readers with login accounts. Now it appears a number of you good people are making use of this free resource, so here's a round up of the best mini-websites. If you want some free web space to host RISC OS-related projects, create a free account or otherwise login and get stuck in. Drop us an email if you run into problems or if you've got something new to tell us. And so, in no particular order:

jymbob
Home of the Cretin IRC client and six insane desktop themes.
govind
Details of a book produced using RISC OS.
alanb
Three games: Bubble train, Primate Plunge and SDLThrust.
stoppers
The RISC OS Look and Feel project, which aims to bring various RISC OS desktop metaphors to the GNU/Linux world.
adrianl
Geminus and Aemulor author Adrian Lees' personal website, featuring a volume control utility, a source code renaming tool, two utilities that flag up naughty software trying to access memory they shouldn't, a module that protects the RISC OS 5 kernel from dodgy software, his simple low-level debugger, and an alpha version of his Cino DVD player.
jeffd
Various programs including a port of 3D first-person shooter Doom and related game files, a 32bit version of the vintage ArmBe editor, a patch to allow game Twin World to run on the Iyonix, a Sudoku creater and solver, and a utility for Tom Tom satnav owners.
hegelia
Music produced using RISC OS.
davidb
The original port of the OpenGL-like Mesa 3D engine ported to RISC OS and a Python GUI library also for RISC OS.
sascott
Sword-fighting action game Cavern Duel, overhead-tank game Tank Duel, a Birds of War manual, a page design utility, a processor cache control tool, and two BBC Micro games.
stewy
The home of WIBLI, a utility that adds customisable floating toolbars to your favourite desktop applications.
aw
Information on BBC Micro game Dominion, created in 2004, and released this year for free.
rpozz
A treasure trove of oddities and utilities, including a telnet server, a program that can create self-extracting encrypted archives, and a virtual desktop application.
pdm
The home of the DrWimp OLE Elixir library and documentation.
snig
A Bloglines notifier and an XML tree viewer.
peter
THis site includes CSP, a fun little graphical silly, what appears to be a lazy task-switching memory tester, and a program to slow down ShareFS connections between an Iyonix and RiscPC to increase reliability.
cogs
The home of SuperFPEm, an optimised module that provides floating-point math operations on FP-less ARM processors.

Thanks to everyone who has put their webspace to good use.

I hope people find my old stuff useful. I'd rather upload my unmaintained RISC OS specific software to Drobe than maintain pages for it elsewhere.

"insane" is a matter of opinion (o:
I tend to find the blue and grey themes quite pleasant, although I'm using something else at the moment.

Thanks for both the mention, and for all the other interesting bits and bobs listed.

More info about Cretin can be found at http://riscos.info

Well, I've discovered some interesting applications thanks to the article! And it's encouraged me to return to some of the add-on toolbars that I've been meaning to release for a while. I've got one for the Filer (for those who like that sort of thing!), an update for ArtWorks, an update for the new Easi/TechWriter, and also a toolbar for Zap which is something several people have requested.

Thanks for the webpace!

Thanks for the mention Drobe. That reminds me, I need to update the version of Cavern Duel there. It's currently on my main site only.
