The 'Nut Device' - in Lego
A7000 case in legoAs a quick follow-on to our recent Iyonix tarting-up article, and the A7000 Lego case a while back, Peter Howkins has come up with another Lego case.

This time, it's a tower, in a fetching Acorn green, and the distinctive, if arguably dated, Acorn logo. Peter tells us it's still an A7000, but slightly updated, with about 120UKP worth of bricks from the new Lego store in Kingston.
Somewhat more, you might note, than the worth of the computer parts.

Now this really is opening up possibilities !
How about a "Drobe Rocket" lego case ?
You'd have to keep it out of the kids reach though.

Not if you glue the Lego together.

I wonder if his next project is going to be a Lego hoover?

Or perhaps that A4 there needs a new case :)

In reply to spriteman:

Perhaps taking a spare TFT monitor, an A7000 and bodge up a laptop made of lego?

Andy. Thinking mode.

What you need are 1U models - then you could stack them without needing a rack ;)

Reminds me off this (which I think the dude eventually sold on eBay) http://www.apple-juice.co.uk/lego/

Yes Daniel Procida sold this on ebay for about 300ukp. Daniel (cardiff mac dealer) is one of the foremost helpers on uk.comp.mac along with Stuart Bell. Remember SABEL from the sausage???? riscos group?

cheers

Perhaps Peter should change the Acorn logo to a cog, or have one on each side?

Just a thought

Andy. Hungry.

I dont know who agent 7 is? :-)

But Stuart used the 'nic' sabel and was a prominent member of the south something acorn users group. I think they called it saussage or something.

I'll get me coat. :-)

I remember Stuart's announcing he was leaving for pastures more rainbow coloured (and apple shaped) in one of the csa groups. And then I remember him coming back a few months later in search of some decent company ;-)

Is it just me or does the picture on the web page from the following link remind you of something?
