Why should ROL merge with ROOL?

ROL already have access to the RISC OS source They already have their own team of programmers They also have their own set of goals

I think if ROL require anything that is available within RO5 and are able to agree licensing terms with ROOL, then yes they should work with ROOL along those terms, but I fail to see why they should merge.
