On NetSurf on RISC OS faces axe:

How's a compiler faster than an intrepreter? How's fumbling around with bits in C more reliable than BASIC snippets? How's lenghty C functions more readable than BASIC? How do you square readability as being opposite to code density?

That said, DrWimp's good for learning the WIMP, C's best for serious programming.

On New London RISC OS show to be held in October:

My WSP are in Reykjavik, from where everywhere else is the South. I have learned not to grumble about the weather with them.

It's nice to see photos of the locality popping up: The explanatory view from the railway station is very helpful.

Will there be banners/posters available for download? Or maybe just a Draw version of the roundel and preferred fontname?

On Richard Brown takes over day-to-day running of ISP Orpheus:

There is no connection between .org and .org.uk domain names.

riscos.org is not gone, it's just offline, registered until 2015: [link]

vigay.com Still there though - a useful resource - has it been archived?

On Richard Brown takes over day-to-day running of ISP Orpheus:

The things I've heard about this subject are all the sort of things you instinctively treat in confidence, and certainly not the sort of things you post on forums or any or public means.

So it's consideration, not conspiracy. (With apologies for using the word "conspiracy"; synomyns don't scan.)

On NetSurf on RISC OS faces axe:

Just to clarify, will the existing frontend work with future core coding?

How simple/complex will it be for a C-savy RO user to download a potential future non-RO version of the source, and plug it into an old RO frontend?
