Excellent new articles about Micro Men. Thanks. Reminds us why we already miss the old Drobe so much I enjoyed the programme, despite the obvious sexing up of the situations. I think you mean ROUGOL [link] Was a fun show to attend, glad I made the long journey. The Acorn World room actually seemed far more lively than the main room, with lots of chatter compared to people just sitting quietly playing a game. The biggest buzz I saw in the main room was when someone completed the marathon on Track & Field - 3 hours of button bashing! For those that missed the show, Dave Moore of Retro Software and others will be bringing a subset of Acorn World along to the RISC OS London Show. Prototype affordable Braille display in development
A low-cost computer-controlled Braille board has been prototyped by a RISC OS-using university student. Undergraduate Edward Rogers hopes to sell his completed units for as little as 200 quid each to schools and families to allow more blind children to continue learning Braille. And he said he wanted to launch his venture using RISC OS-powered kit before offering a package for other platforms.
