On Firefox port updated to release number eight:

I deleted Mozilla and re-installed FF. Then gone into preferences and kept the memory of sites visited down to 1 day, not kept passwords and private data, etc. Try to keep it lean. Remember I only FF when I have to do specific tasks at BT.com or Flickr etc. So far so good, it didn't crash when I logged into BT and Bread, so far :)

Not all works fine, thats the mobile version which I use, but you still cant do most of the functions on Netsurf. Again using that site on FF crashes again as I log in.

On Firefox port updated to release number eight:

Netsurf does part of the stuff on all these sites, but it doesn't need JS. The point of Firefox was to do the bits in which I can't do with Netsurf. So with Flickr, Netsurf can view the images, upload them and basic viewing. However I can't do the more bigger stuff like organise the pictures, and all the other features. So I have to use a PC to do the majority of stuff with Flickr. My point is,Firefox has always crashed on those sites as soon as I try and use text entry.

On How to convince more websites to work with the RISC OS Firefox port:

In reply to Smiler Well Natwest contacted me when I complained about trying to access their site with FireFox on RISC OS and then IE8 on a PC. The guy explained kinda what you are saying about security and testing, I said its stupid if I have to get another browser ( O2 on RISC OS ) to ' pretend ' to be IE5 ! He went on and on about security and that they do more testing compared to other banks. This was after I explained I can use various browser O2,FireFox and Netsurf on different banks.

On New free MSN client available for all:

I too always relied on GV and did extend my donations for the upgrades and future development. But this free client is so much nicer to look at and use, how was Christian able to do these things when the general tone regarding development for GV was quite an expense ? I like the size of the emoticons and the fact its window stays open so you can keep clicking and use them. On GV you had to keep opening them up :( I did make a suggestion regarding that to Alan Wrigley and he seemed interested but nothing came of it. Though I would like to say thank you to Alan as when there was a known issue with some versions of GV he gave alot of help in solving the problem. Still be intersting what happens to GV now as there is another alternative and its free :)

On Could NetSurf 2.0 support JavaScript?:

I love Netsurf, it just works so quickly and generally I use it as my number 1 browser with O2 second because of two particular sites which need JS for the instant chatting. But Netsurf works with my bank site and even for my flights to San Francisco. So if JS did appear then I would use it even more. I would love Netsurf to print on my Iyonix as I have to use other methods of exporting the page etc to DRAW but it would even better just to be able to click on print ! I too would offer some cash for development along the the lines of GutenPrint. I loved so much I gave a second contribution ! HA HA Thanks for all the work, guys.
