On The story behind RiScript 5:

Enjoyable article. One comparison stuck me as unfair, however: "Also, Adobe Reader is only intended for displaying PDF files, and cannot handle PostScript, let alone generate PDF files or convert output into Draw format." This is true, since it is Adobe Acrobat's job to export PDF, /not/ Acrobat Reader's. Also, the comparison between RiScript's and acroread's renderering reminded me that I have noticed that rendering quality has gone down from acroread 5 to acroread 7 (imho). The number of which, or whose identities are not generally made public. Perhaps not monolithic, but where are the faces (other than PM himself)? Christmas 2008 show photos
The Midlands Christmas 2008 RISC OS show has been and gone and turned out to be a pretty timid yet relaxed affair - there was a steady stream of punters for a few hours. Next year's event has been arranged for Saturday, December 5, 2009.
