On Watch the trailer of BBC's Acorn versus Sinclair history docu-drama:

It's a shame the execs didn't have the courage of their convictions on the title. I really don't see that calling it 'Micro Men' instead of 'Syntax Era' will make it any more relevant to The Kids. Still, I live in hope.

The documentary on Elite that was on a few years back was good and taught me to pronounce Braben's name, even if there wasn't anything in there I hadn't already learned from 'Backroom Boys'.

On RISCOS Ltd issues bug-fix update to Select subscribers:

I've been running RO6.14 on an A7000+ with 4.02 ROMs since I got the CD in Dec/Jan. Just downloaded the newest 6.16 but haven't installed it yet.

Haven't managed to get RO6 to boot on the Omega yet, however. I suspect that it's something to do with RO6's new video code - ROL no longer haven an Omega so can't do any testing for that platform.

On Executive decision time for Midlands show:

The picture on the top right appears to show the keyboard connected to the A9 via a USB->PS/2 convertor. Is there a reason for this? I'm pretty sure that the A9 works with USB keyboards.

On Wakefield 2009 show date set for April:

I'm glad that they're sticking to late April, as Dad and I are exhibiting at model railway shows every weekend in May and we were worried we might not be able to attend.

On Vigay: I was told to remove my Firefox 2 tutorial:

Thing is, I would've thought that the method of putting together a correctly formatted profiles/ini file [1] and letting Firefox 2 set itself up would be much better than the previous workaround of copying the old Firefox 1.5 choices out of !UnixHome.

I put quite a bit of time into a Usenet article [2] in response to Peter saying he couldn't reproduce the bug and didn't get a reply from him, although I accept there may have been good reasons for that. Probably should've CC'd it.
