About me:I first got into RISC OS in February 2003 (5 Years Ago!) when I was 14. I remembered it from primary school, where we had an A5000, and then switched to Windows. My parents bought a Windows 98 PC in 1999, and I also used Windows at my secondary school. I never liked Windows as a child, as it had some strange UI concepts (such as save dialogue boxes, automated wizards, drop down menus, the start button, and the 'Desktop' being at the top of the directory tree!), as well as Win98 being very unstable. Also I didn't know very much about computers, and applications such as Word appeared very complex. In February 2003, I asked my IT teacher if i could have an old A3000. I couldnt remeber risc os at all, and expected the A3000 to be a command driven interface. When I got it home and switched it on, I began to remember using RISC OS, and some of the UI features such as the blue Hour Glass, and the error messages you cant move your mouse out of. I found the RISC OS UI much superior to windows, with full drag and drop, and context sensitive menus, as well as the iconbar. Since then I have never used Windows seriously, and use RISC OS for virtually everything, including coursework assignments etc, using TechWriter and Draw. I have an iMac G3 to 'fall back on', which I use for video playback, and some websites that RISC OS Netsurf can't handle. I am currently at University and still use my RISC OS Adjust RiscPC.

Excellent News. I too never expected to see another release for RISC OS. Unfortunately I only have a RiscPC, so I am unable to test it.

On South West 2008 this weekend:

I really wanted to go, as I now live in Bristol, and it would have been my first time at the south west show. Unfortunatly the venue is sort of in the middle of nowhere, and public transport links to the area are not very good.
