About me:ajps was born in 1832, the only son of a rich merchant and his criminally insane wife. Stumbling into a rift in space-time while still a relatively young child, he found himself in 1980s England and managed to survive on his share of the nuts and berries he was forced to scavenge for the evil squirrel overlord into whose net he fell as he emerged from the other side of the rift. One day the squirrel's attention was distracted and he made good his escape, and now finds solace in the world of programming for RISC OS - the only way he can forget his former life for even a short time.

On VirtualRiscPC upgrades to Adjust:

AMS: I'm confused as to whether you're against emulation, Windows, Microsoft, high-level languages or non-ARM processors, or some combination of those.

Why do you use RISC OS? Is it for the GUI and relatively pleasant APIs for programming (as it is with me), or is it because you like having an OS where you can write ARM code to do things, or some other reason?

Star Fighter 3000: The Next Generation was born from the 3D0 version of the original SF3K that was ported back to RISC OS and this year freed from programmers' hard discs for the platform to enjoy, writes Andrew Weston. In this review Andrew weighs up much-improved graphics and sound against playability and stability.
