On Firefox 2 port now Iyonix and A9home friendly:

All very exciting news, although I'm afraid that, on my version (VRPC-Adjust) at least, it doesn't appear to work. Ah well; Peter did only say 'maybe' to it working with VRPC. Any other VRPC users with different results?

Well done to Peter anyway, great work. Hopefully maybe a future release will incorporate VRPC as well.

On Mystery image app to demo at Wakefield:

>simo You can moan if you like, but even with products that simply 'wrap' existing free software, some people want some of the perks which traditionally come with commercial software, such as guaranteed support, documentation and/or extra ease of use (of course, that last one's a gross generalisation - I'm perfectly aware that plenty of free apps are very easy to use, but from my limited research it looks like ImageMagick is a command-line app so there's definitely scope for simplification there).

At the end of the day, it's simple economics - if people don't want these 'wrappers', they won't sell. But some people do.

On News in brief:

I've got to say, I'm with Richard on this one. It just seems totally unnecessary and rather unkind to go totally against the express wishes of someone who does sterling work for the RISC OS community, and then laugh in his face for getting (understandably) annoyed about it.

Pretty juvenile, overall.
