On 'Threaded' Firefox for RISC OS build released to test:

This test release shows excellent promise. Currently firefox makes the rest of the desktop pretty unusable (on the sites you need it for, as opposed to ones that also work on NetSurf). Which means you are far better off turning on a PC as a second machine. This version appears to have no more impact on the desktop than Kinoamp. (In fact it seems to have less impact than NetSurf) which means you can leave it chugging away in the background rendering awkward sites, while you write emails or even use NetSurf for plain HTML sites. When this appears as a stable release, I think it will be the most significant improvent to date.

On ARM-powered computer firm in RISC OS port talks :

Which presumably means it will be on yours, and if RISC OS were supported on the current models, it should also work on it?

Does the 720p support mean it can display 1080 material, but only at 720 or is it limited to 720 material and lower?

On ARM-powered computer firm in RISC OS port talks :

It can read DOS drives up to 2GB. But would it actually *need* to? ie would the RISC OS "ROM" actually have to be visible to anything other than the loader? (Of course upgrade might be tricky if it couldn't)

Is the idea of RISC OS using the firmware's filesystems silly?

On Firefox port updated to release number eight:

It sounds like you have a problem with your installation, it didn't do that to me, but I only tried one site (before I went away, not near RISC OS for a while).

([link] works fine with netsurf, and doesn't have all the garbage that the full site has.)

Of course it would be even nicer if add-ons worked, then noscripts would deal with that.
