On In brief: Acorn World show this weekend:

That's disapointing, I hope that if there is another then a bigger venue is booked. An Acorn World show appears to attract a bigger audience.

On New RISC OS ownership claim may derail ROOL RiscPC ROM release:

I think its best that ROL leave Castle-ROOL alone. This platform simply cannot afford to lose any more supporters. I for one refuse to buy any more software, hardware (from Risc OS dealers) or attend any more shows until this matter is sensibly resolved.

On New RISC OS ownership claim may derail ROOL RiscPC ROM release:

It seems to be the ROOL-Castle licence ROL are attacking. Perhaps ROL feel in a stronger position now that Castle are not currently producing saleable computers.

On RISC OS 5 modernisation to cost millions:

First things first ...before Castle takes Risc os to go regions it has never gone before.. An intermediary is needed to futher discussions between ROL and Castle. It is stupid to allow ROL to die and loose all those Select resources even if they cannot be immediatly be merged into RO5. There must be one person in the Risc os community trusted by both sides willing to undertake this mission.

On Omega ethernet ships:

If memory serves correctly then previous conversations with David Atkins he suggested that the Mico ethernet drivers will be almost identical to the Omega one. I think I need to ask more questions as I had not planned to buy Adjust. Another option exists of replacing the Mico motherboard with an Omega one though priced at 699+vat is out of my reach.

  • What should be NetSurf's priority?
Development work on the open source NetSurf web browser project will once again be funded by Google as part of the internet giant's Summer of Code scheme. NetSurf has been accepted into this year's GSoC, which pays students to develop open source software during their holiday, under the guidance of a mentor. This year it's hoped budding engineers, who must first successfully apply for a place to work on the browser, will work on various improvements. What do you think the NetSurf team should be focusing development on?
