On First screenshot: Beagleboard runs RISC OS 5 desktop:

As someone the other side of the pond who has no "business" being interested in RISC OS, but who does any way, this is great news. At rougly $150 US (which is probably something like 90-100 UKP), the BeagleBoard is probably simultaneously the lowest cost and most powerful RISC OS computer ever.

The one issue with RISC OS adoption in the ARM hobbyist and (eventually, hopefully) netbook markets would be the lack of affordable software. There's good stuff out there, a lot of it costs as much as the BeagleBoard itself. One wonders if Icon could, perhaps, be convinced to make EasiWriter (or at least Writer+) available under terms similar to ROOL's licensing of RISC OS 5. Or maybe they would just need to cut a deal with netbook vendors for volume licensing...
