On South East 2006 show report:

In reply to em2ac:

Google can read and write to the newsgroups, and very handy it is too, you just need to register first. Other perks then are a customisable front page and daily horoscope, life just doesn't get any better ;-)

As to the right clicking thing, must be, IE doesn't do it.

Nah, they're just not used to the idea of a RISC OS magazine editor without a scarey beard ;-)

On School wins IT award with RISC OS:

Dont think it's either. Seems to be a PC application. We've got it running on our grotty PC network.

Some of the teachers don't like it, because it simulates a fictional application suit, ie. not MS Office.

It is clever what it does, what with it marking what the kids actually do. But is contencious as to what it really proves, other than that most kids are already brainwashed into the MS way of doing things.

What is amusing is how exausted kids are after an intensive 50 minute session, against the clock, without their favourite little games and the 'real' internet for their usual recreation.

Me too!!! I've got one, scaved it from school when they were clearing out (one of the perks of working there). It does indeed feel like the classiest joystick ever. Just looked at ebay, 119quids eek! Am off to polish me joystick ;-).

On RISC OS 3 audio tapes preserved in MP3:

The chappy in the video is Fred Harris, he used to present the various BBC Micro proggys along with Ian McNaught-Davis. Ahh, the memories.
