On June news in brief:

The "Powered by the Python-Based Serviette Web Server on a RISC OS Computer" bit at the bottom is enough to scare me. Running a website off a RISC OS box? Insane!

On RISC OS Open licence in hands of lawyers:

In reply to bluenose: What do you mean by "all is not well in Linux land with the various factions"?

Regardless, the licence is not open source, that much is clear. It does seem to be that CTL want the gains of open-source without any of the associated costs, so power to them -- but I think it may put some people off.

On Who are RISC OS Open Ltd?:

An inside source told me that they're going to buy out Apple and start re-building RISC OS on a BSD base, for Intel x86-compatible processors, whilst phasing out Mac OS X.

It's not just speculation, honest.

On Riscos.org switches to weblog format:

Ick, use of javascript to open popup comments pages. Then again, I suppose it's up to Paul what goes on the site, and it's not for me to comment on what is not suitable for someone else's project...
