On First A9home benchmarks surface:

I've noticed that you need to be careful running !Firebench since I have managed to get results from 237 fps all the way up to 750 fps on my 233 MHz SA RPC. You know things have gone weird when the program either finishes early, the fire display goes weird with strange pixels all through it or the fire display seems to alternate between two distinct frames.

On Punter bitten by fraudsters after using R-Comp site:

That worked for me too. In fact, it was the CJE Micros guys who suggested it to me.

On RiscPC emulator for Linux lands:

In all seriousness, I cannot see a future for RISC OS on native hardware. Porting RISC OS and associated apps to other hardware would be the better thing to do, but I think that line of reasoning has been done to death.

I'm generally happy with an RISC OS emulator as long as it runs what I want and is fast enough on my Athlon XP 2500 box so that the RISC OS experience is not detracted from in any way.

On RiscPC emulator for Linux lands:

I'd hope not but once spares for my current RISC OS machines disappear completely, that may be a sad possibility.

On StrongARM card turns ten years old:

I can remember receiving the order card ten years ago, and then the package arriving on my doorstep. The speed increase was uncanny. I also remember my nervousness at my attempt (which was successful) at cutting the tracks behind the dip switch, allowing an overclock to 287 MHz :)
