On 32bit MIDI drivers progress website launched:

This is excellent indeed, thank you Alan. Some instruments have USB out as well as/instead of MIDI ports - what are the chances we can use them directly?

On An idiot's guide to making PDFs:

Taborca works so well and easily for my purposes in creating .pdfs. I usually make 1 page .pdf documents. I hope RiScript can be made to work as easily. The only app that I can't 'print' a .pdf directly from is !Sibelius. For this I export a drawfile and make a pdf from that.

On Could A9 be a digital oasis in a desert of PCs and Macs?:

The A9home's size and weight is very appealing here in New Zealand for another reason - freight costs. Certainly not to be sniffed at!

On Omega welcome guide confirmed:

re: dealers in NZ

Although Webmonster don't deal in new RISC OS machines yet, we are a NZ RISC OS dealer. In fact if you search in NZ for "RISC OS dealer" or "RISC OS computer" via google, Webmonster comes up in the first 3 or so. In the meantime, before I get new RISC OS machines, I'm supporting and upgrading the RiscPC etc. - Unipod anyone? ;-)

Star Fighter 3000: The Next Generation was born from the 3D0 version of the original SF3K that was ported back to RISC OS and this year freed from programmers' hard discs for the platform to enjoy, writes Andrew Weston. In this review Andrew weighs up much-improved graphics and sound against playability and stability.
